Grammar Notes:

We'll start with what a server might ask you when you first sit down: What do you want to drink? In the Thai language, when you want to ask someone “What do you want to (verb)” , we use the phrase  à-rai   dee  which means "what's good?". Here are some example sentences:
what would you like to eat ?
kun tahn à-rai dee  kâ / kráp 
lit: you eat what good (polite ending)
